One of the nice moments in the beginning of the volume is when Makoto asks Shikimori to look after her son. As his bad luck comes from her, it plays into the boyfriend-girlfriend trope that this manga leans on. Though the friendship that grows between Makoto & Shikimori grows sweet as well.
Also a bit more of a view on the friend group. Inuzuka is a good friend to Yu, granted, kind of showcasing that it isn’t easy to look after Yu. Nekozaki plays as the female counterpart to Inuzuka in many ways. Hachimitsu plays as the comic relief of the group.
Shikimori & Yu’s dynamic still feels forced so far. As Yu could benefit with more focus going forward.
