I have been wanting to read this manga for a while after watching the anime by Doga Kobo. One thing that is noteworthy is that this manga started on Twitter. As seen with the 16-chapter volume 1.
Overall, you essentially have a romantic comedy where the protagonist, Yuuki Izumi has a cool girlfriend named Miyako Shikimori. Not too much beyond that. We also get to see Izumi’s parents and to see his unlucky nature he gets from his mom. The one thing with these types of series is how much the unlucky aspect plays. It’s clear to play to the type of making Shikimori seem like a cool girlfriend, but if it’s played too much, it could make the series feel gimmicky.
