Chalk it up to Tanpopo to still be motivated to escape the dream space with Ibara. Still, it is a showcase of how Tanpopo can understand the emotions of her foes. As she loves her friends and family much like Ibara loves her father. As we know, Itoma was gathering resources for this dream. So because it’s not innate to him, it makes sense if they destroy the source, they can escape.
Which leaves it up to Shade. The funny aspect is where we see Shade protecting Ibara’s body from her own father. No doubt he is hurting after losing his wife, and maybe he became a fiend as a result. It’s cool to see the influence that Tanpopo has on Shade as he is doing what she would be doing if she were here.
