As the group tries to save Tanigaki, we get some more interesting world-building from Asirpa. More so why humans and kamuy having intercourse is a big NO NO. Though I thought that it was interesting to see Ryu again, it makes sense since Tanigaki has the rifle from Niehi’s rifle. Although it could just be following Tnaigaki. Though that is a clue in finding Anehata. Though the result of Anehata dying while having intercourse with the bear is definitely something. Well, mission is accomplished on that end.
Though the wrinkle that gets added later is when Inkarmat tells Asirpa that Kiroranke killed Asirpa’s father. In which Noppera-Po in Abashiri Prison is not her father. Now it’s difficult to believe what Inkarmat is saying. Though at the very least, given the tear she shed, the part of her knowing Asirpa’s father is true. It is rather interesting that the dynamic that Inkarmat & Uiruku shared is similar to what Asirpa & Sugimoto have. Though when you have the mention of Asirpa saying her mother taught her father Ainu culture, it is odd. The more concerning thing is the evidence that Inkarmat has that makes her believe Kironake killed Asirpa’s father.
Though it is too much to put it past Tsurumi to add evidence that pits Sugimoto’s group against each other. It’s hard to say where Inkarmat stands in all of this. The question even adds up where Sugimoto brings up Asirpa’s eye in respect to Noppera-Po. The fact the only person who knows about this is Hijikata is even more concerning. At this point we can see both Tsurumi & Hijikata manipulate the group. Though, as Sugimoto points out, continuing the path to Abashiri Prison will lead to the truth.
We get an early look at Abashiri Prison, where Noppera-Po is held. It’s interesting to note that his prison cell changes drastically. Tsurumi already has his men infiltrating, as it is not under his control. Meanwhile, Hijikata is looking into a war reporter. It makes logical sense news can be widespread and be dangerous in and of itself. But what is his plan here?
Meanwhile, Sugimoto’s group learns of the Blind Bandits, where Anji Toni is one of the prisoners with tattooed skin. Though they end up in a rough spot where the men are both naked in the dark against these blind bandits. In a scenario where their eyesight is extremely limited, what will the guys do here against Anji and his men?
