It’s an interesting direction for this episode as it fleshes out both Jin and the Li siblings. For Jin his wife seemed to be an actress. Although there seems to be speculation from his side that she cheated on him. The fact being she was pregnant when she died. Him working increasingly became at least it seemed the he assumed he was cheating on him. Him wanting to bring her back would mean that was his kid? Or it could be the proof that she cheated on him. It’s getting harder to get a read on him.
For Tianchen it seems that he killed his parents. It did seem weird how the mother also would die assuming she killed their father. More likely it seemed that the father killed the mother and he killed his father. The idea of him killing his mom is something you don’t want to consider being the scenario. For both Jin and Tianchen there is a darkside shown here and the fact is that dark side could be bigger.
For Tianchen it seems the neighbor and others were the ones that spread the rumors about their mom cheating on their father. You can understand why Tianchen would want to kill them. Still curious about the childhood friend of Tianchen.
Still the strength of the episode was the perspective of Tianxi. It seemed she just ran away from both Jin and Tianchen. No surprise the brother is no longer the caring dependent monster. The fact someone in her condition ran away like that speaks volumes. Being with Qiao might be the first time she can be at ease somewhat. Still curious did Cheng stop the event of Guang being captured?
