Directing in the series continues to be top-notch. It continues to excel at putting you on your toes. The question of how did Guang end up to save Cheng? A genius play from Guang by taking the picture. As it allowed Cheng to take his picture. So what exactly happened? There could be the possibility in some future that Cheng failed and potentially Qiao got kidnapped instead as a result. Because there was the photo it allowed Cheng to go back in time as Guang. Just taking that picture changed things.

All Cheng had to do was follow what happened. It’s less important to understand why Cheng went back in time, but he just has to follow what he did. As Guang is being there to stop Tianxi from taking Cheng. Of course the added bonus of Guang ending up a hostage makes the situation more puzzling. Still we need the current Cheng to play out the events as Guang that he is supposed to do.

Still we learn that the Tianxi that we see is actually her brother Tianchen. The police end up finding the actual Tianxi and something is off. Could Jin be manipulating Tianchen? He mentions finding his sister, yet by chance she was found. Jin’s goal at the very least makes sense because he wants Cheng to change the past to make sure his wife doesn’t die. Although everything he is going through would make any cooperation impossible.

Considering Tianxi’s past you can only feel bad for everything she went through since the incident. It seems more than likely Jin is keeping her from her brother. It is times like this when Qiao shows her strength in terms of being calm and collected. No doubt Cheng and Officer Xiao are on the age of their seats.
