As the tournament continues, we get a focus on Arisa Fujimiya and Hana Ichinose. Arisa is the type that you see once in a while in big fighting game events where a young kid is matching up to what the older pros are doing. Though very much like those kids, you have that confident but arrogant attitude. Though in her matchup against Yuu it’s cool to see how Yuu respects that aspect from Arisa. But Yuu ain’t no slouch herself.
Hana is Tamaki’s older sister. It appears that she is Tamaki’s motivation and who to aim for. Though it seems clear that her passive approach was more than likely developed through matches with her sister. Hana is quite the intimidating character, to say the least, and knows how to intimidate her sister at least.
As Aya moves on to face Gekido who was her idol, grouping is a thing that pros can feel like they have no chance going into their match. Of course that is the mindset that losers think, and just having the mindset won’t help. Even if the odds aren’t in your favor, just thinking you can win can give you momentum, as it does with Aya. With her winning one set, but of course it wasn’t a surprise that Gekido came back to win another set.
Café Au Lait and Mio’s match are the funniest because on one hand you can’t discount anyone from appearances. As Mio was feeling a hot streak, she had to make Café Au Lait give her respect. At the same time Mio has been shown to feel herself too much and has some bad habits. I wonder if this is what gets stressed for her to get eliminated if that happens.
