The fight between Ushio and Habiu gets changed to a murder mystery of who killed Habiu. Interesting to learn that it was the servant for the Fire Clan who is Ushio’s mother. You have the angle that her mother abandoned her, but Ushio still wanted to take the blame for it. It makes it sad when Haibe kills her for her betrayal.
We have the shift in tone where it becomes apparent why the Fire Clan is no longer among the top 5 families when Ushio beats Haibe in one punch. Though their downfall really gets to the point where the man who disguised himself as Haisei burns the family down. I wonder if this has to do with the meeting that Teruaki gathered regarding Hikaru’s potential partners.
At the end we see Kinosaki has a scar on his chest. Either implying that Kinosaki was born female. Of course it could have to do something with Kinosaki’s heart.
