Once again Chidaruma is spectating for his entertainment, and his next one is the monster known as Holey. This is the being that took over when Aikawa lost control, and he went after and consumed sorcerers. It’s interesting how, while he isn’t a devil per se, he is to the humans what Chidaruma was to the sorcerers.
Thanks to Azu, both Caiman and Nikaidou are alive. Nikaidou is not a full devil, even if Chidaruma doesn’t recognize her as such. Though it is clear that Nikaidou’s time magic will be crucial. Essentially what happens is that if Nikaidou goes back in time and changes something, then once the timeline converges, the one who went back in time converges with the time she went back into time. It is actually crazy that she was right that the future her would come back. Even if Holey was able to use it, she seemed to have used it before Holey did in another timeline. A little confusing.
Even with that, Nikaidou by herself doesn’t stand a chance against Holey. Hell, Chidaruma was getting affected by his rain, and he is a natural-born devil. It feels right that Caiman would be the one to defeat it, as in a way he is facing himself. Being spewed by its magic has Caiman reuniting with Ai, Aikawa, and Kai. Though even then, Caiman can only do so much.
Though quite the interesting trade from the former Devils. After all, Ai always wanted to be a sorcerer. Still curious what can Caiman actually do here.
