Despite Roger Alpheus’s behavior, he never seemed like a true antagonist, as he seemed to care more for his own gain. This dark-haired man, who, interestingly enough, holds an appearance similar to Claude, seems like the source of the black magic. He essentially uses it with the item that Jennette buys to go after Athy as a result. Though what is his intent? On the one bright spot, Athy & Jennette grow closer together. That was a dangerous encounter where, if it weren’t for Athy’s improvements in her magic, the situation could have been a lot worse.
