As this episode starts, we are back to Edogai, but rather his home is under attack by Ogata. We can see that Ogata is quite intelligent because he can figure out quickly that fakes are about to be in circulation. The chase between Ogata, Tsukishima, Shiraishi, and Sugimoto takes place. Well, an explosion on the mines takes effect. However, even though Edogai is about to die, he wants to pass on what he has, along with his knowledge, to Tsurumi. After all, the anime has shown us what Tsurumi did, which would inspire that love from Edogai.
Now the issue with Sugimoto & Hijikata comes. Sugimoto wants answers for Asirpa so bribing him won’t do anything. Clearly there is friction between them. Though, as Hijikata the real issue for now is how to detect the fakes. Now what does Sugimoto do here, then?
It was a good idea to fit the fakes & mining chapters in this episode. Chapters 77-81 were adapted here. Just the first few pages of 77 were skipped, and with the pacing of this adaptation so far, it makes sense. Though the only real issue is when they can put Tanigaki because for now it seems that is on the back burner, sadly.
