As the mystery surrounding the victim Setsuko and what her grudge is continues. It seems clearer it wasn’t a suicide, and we know the members who got transported on the train have a connection to her. We also learn that if any of them get out of the car, they will die.
We also see that each person repeatedly scratches themselves, and they even disappear. For the boy, he scratches his eyes. In this case, was he the one who saw her die? We see the waitress who talked to Setsuko regarding what she was looking into repeatedly scratch her mouth. Also, could it be possible the man the woman was with was the partner of Setsuko? Considering that Setsuko was working on a story regarding the Mayor and the contruction of the train he was the one who orcastrated the incident.
We do see Setsuko’s boss coming back. Perhaps he is or related to the Mononoke in some way.
