For what appears to be the final arc, we have an interesting wide variety of characters. What ends up happening is that a small set of the passengers get transported to one car of the train in which they can’t get out. However, we do see the Apothecary being able to enter, which means being trapped only affects them. The curious part is why could the mayor open the door but not be able to go to another car in the train?
More than likely the woman we see before the supernatural phenomenon starts is the woman who was previously run over by the train. That woman was the detective’s subordinate and more than likely is the thing that is bringing all these people together. But what is the truth behind the matter? Also the woman holding a cat, which is described as a Goblin Cat, which I assume is what we see in the beginning of the episode.
