It looked rough for her, but Shiori was able to survive. Though it is through her kindness and in her own way that Gero supported her. At that same token, quite the bold approach for approaching her aunt was bold but turned into the right approach. As Shiori has a lot of confidence problems, she understands why her aunt would doubt her skills. Though it is still questionable, it would be safe to leave Shiori around her.
It does feel the difference between Shiori and Himekawa is that Shiori is a bit too much like Gero. The best way they interact is when they are both awkward. For Himekawa she can push Gero to push back his awkwardness.
One element that was good is the focus on Gero’s poison clan. As they significantly outrank other clans like the Bug Clan. We see how great of a friend Toshiki is for Gero because at a young age the teachings of the clan were inserted into his life. While Gero is very much still awkward, he was at least able to live and interact with others. It really shows how great of a man Toshiki is because he didn’t look at Gero as the next monster in their parent clan but as a kid who needed a friend. We can see how important Toshiki is to Gero very well.
It makes sense that there would be assassins who are trained to take out the various types of specialists. With that being said, some are not as useful as others. Kimie is a hamster user, and like a hamster, she isn’t suited for combat. Hamsters would be better at infiltrating and getting information at best. Gero being the nice guy he is, agrees to help her, but of course her family clan is already taken out. Curious to see how Gero bounces back against him.
