It was actually very interesting how much strategy went into a game where you win by the minority. As if you do too much, then you are suddenly in the majority. The team strategy that Aki comes up with makes sense. As the biggest fear is losing, if an agreement is in place where you would share the earnings, then you just need 1 person to win. It just forces everyone to not care about not getting all the earnings.

We learn that the woman who was Hitomi was actually the Mr. X they were after. It is quite the risky move, but creating 2 other teams in secret would imply that 2 teams would be unbalanced in terms of their voting. Thus meaning Mr. X would always be in the minority. The signs were there for Aki to pick up on it, and thankfully he did.

Though in the final 4, Aki’s move to put no immediately was interesting. He won if they all went against him. However, if anyone chose to pick the same answer as him, they would forfeit a chance to win. Liar Game participants are no doubt greedy, and he figured no one would be risky enough to do that. To also add that the man in the sunglasses teamed up with Aki as it would be logical once he found out the real Mr. X. The teamwork of Aki and Sunglasses Man was great, especially considering it forced Mr. X into a decision because he already showcased his betrayal. He just needed to lie that he would vote no to catch them off guard.

Aki’s interest in the Liar Game is interesting. It is curious if Nao will follow through with him.
