Within the witches association, we are provided a detail of the ranks. Essentially it is the witches at the top, senior witch cadets, and junior witch cadets last. Junior being an entry point into the association where learning is the big deal. Then seniors are the ones who provide support. In fact, Ichi’s team is split between cadets and witches. Granted, Gokuraku’s skills and his intelligence do set him apart from most cadets.
The more interesting part of this chapter is Kumugi’s sister, Spica. To add on the worldbuilding, she is a senior cadet captain. Which is the head of some department. It’s clear she is dead set on becoming a witch. Curious in general what it takes to go from senior cadet to a witch. This chapter gives a hint that she is willing to use what she can to get to her goals. Though the moment she sees Ichi it is clear that when she sees something, she goes after it. At the very least she will be an interesting addition to the cast, but her dynamic with Kumugi is the one concern.
