John’s backstory is excellent, especially in relation to both Leo and David. We have John, who isn’t really here to be a pilot because they are a natural talent. But he has his own dream of going to the moon, and that is the only thing that matters. Basically, for John, it is his pride, and he would rather chase what is the remainder of his dream than be a sellout. Unlike his parents, he isn’t strong enough to keep crafting where it feels hopeless.
