The operation to get Sofia out is a success. Though it is quite intriguing, she is pissed at Kiroranke for killing Wilk. Which isn’t a surprise since she loved him. It’s interesting to see Wilk through Sofia because he believed that if you don’t fight, your history will disappear. Which we can have a relation with the Ainu. Interestingly, we see an overlap in the ideals of Hijikata & that of Wilk that definitely overlap.

Though the biggest thing was that Wilk was a hunter and acted and loved the wolf. You can tell that he knew when to make the hard decisions. But he can do it in a heartbeat, much like the head of a wolf pack that he admired. It is interesting that doesn’t surprise Asirpa because that ruthless, wolf-like behavior is how he taught her how to hunt. As to hunt is more to survive. Asirpa remembers Wilk’s Ainu name, Horkew Oskoni.

Not a surprise Shiraishi got separated from Asirpa & Kiroranke. Though it feels good to see him meeting up with Sugimoto. Which indicates that he is so close to reuniting with Asirpa.

This episode covered chapters 180-183. With the parts of chapter 184 being covered, Sugimoto & Shiraishi reunite, which is a fantastic point to end the episode. The Ogata & Asirpa stuff will definitely come next episode.
