Dorohedoro – Volume 2

Interestingly enough, we get a clash between Caiman’s and Shin’s groups. Despite Caiman not being affected by magic, that doesn’t mean he is invincible, and also Shin isn’t reliant on it. Though the human face of Caiman is shown even when Caiman’s reptilian head is taken off, we can see his human head. Which makes it seem more than likely he is human.

Though the big and interesting reveal is that Nikaidou is a sorcerer, considering it appears that Caiman absolutely hates sorcerers, this is something that will be interesting to keep an eye on. It feels like this will eventually be something that she will need to admit to Caiman directly. More interesting is that she knows Shin. Still, one clear thing is there is another party that is watching Caiman since they took action when they were dissecting his reptilian head.

Interesting how the use of sorcerers is shown in this volume. The first is a sorcerer named Turkey, and he creates dolls from sources. As these dolls can replicate them and track the original movements. Though the strange thing is the head of Caiman was already cut and sealed in a box. It’s difficult to tell what that means. Also, with sorcerers, they can provide buffs. Which we see in the final chapter of the volume. Though it’s more a direct link with the sorcerer, take out the sorcerer, and the buffs go away.
