One thing that is quite notable in both of the conversations that Saku has with Asuka as well as with both Yua & Yuuko is that Saku is more selfless than he likes to admit. Asuka says, “You act like you have people to lean on, but in reality it’s just you.” This would be more so in Saku’s mindset that he won’t depend on people when he should. Then her second quote is, “Even if you act like you’re all you’ve got, the truth is you always have someone.” The library scene from last episode showcased this point well. Saku went in by himself and put himself in potential danger. In reality, Kaito and Kazuki would have been willing to be with him if he had asked for it. For him, he needs to realize he has friends who will have his back if he asks them to help. He needs to realize and accept it.

Yua & Yuuko spell out this selfless behavior as he puts himself in harm’s way, not realizing how him putting himself in danger makes the others feel watching him. Of course this also adds to Yuzuki’s POV of her seeing Saku putting himself in harm’s way for her. As it is clear that Saku is selfless, which is a good trait to have. But not considering himself with his actions is a possible issue.

To also add, we can see once more how different Saku’s relationship is with Asuka than with the other girls. There is a clear feeling of jealousy from her seeing how Saku looks and talks to Asuka.

Speaking of selfless, we got Saku going out of his way to find Yuzuki’s shoes. Though I love how they animated the basketball match. It also seems, from the conversation between Saku the girls basketball coach, that there is a good amount of Yuzuki that Saku doesn’t know about.
