Even with much of this arc feeling awkward in execution. This was a phenomenal chapter. For Lacrima she is no longer at the palace but rather with Julian and his companions, and she is freed for the first time. The feeling where you leave a toxic environment and enter a loving one is how you can empathize with the happiness that Lacrima feels.


Though the big twist is that, like with Atlus now, this Lacrima is much the same. Brought back to life by Helem. It adds up with why Lacrima is weak. This raises the question of when did Lacrima originally die? Based on that, can her original come out like it did for Arkos? How strong was the original Lacrima? Does the current Lacrima exhibit self-control? Then can Atlus do the same? Numerous questions, but Elstri really sinking to the depths here by teaming up with Helem, who seems like the real witch.
