The case in this episode was about a group of med students who were swapping out cheap organs with the actual ones. Of course it stems from the entitled rich kids getting involved in the black market, where they have no idea how dangerous it truly is. The more interesting aspect surrounds Major, as Togusa mentions she was not herself. As Batou mentions, Major became a full cyborg at the same age as that girl. You can imagine if that girl had another organ failure, you can understand why that would grind her. Togusa mentioned the man who wanted to be a cyborg, so it’s possible the Major wanted to be a cyborg. Though I doubt a 6-year-old girl would want that. More than likely Major’s case might be closer to the girl, but over time she embraced being a full cyborg. Basically maximizing the hand you were dealt.
