The chapter provides interesting insight into Moeko’s family situation. It does seem they are not well-off, and it brings up a matter of whether her choice of skill would feel like a burden. It brings into question if Moeko has always been a kind character, but this almost makes you think of her as very selfless too. Moeko mentions she can handle it, but perhaps this is the push she needed here. It does really showcase the friendship that has formed between Kyo & Moeko.
