It was good to get to see who the person that Klen designed his human for was around. Much like Alicia, he had dreams about being a hero. In Shiro’s final act he saved Luna that is the reason why he died with a smile. Sadly Ray will never know this because Klen won’t care to indulge in that information.
For both Mary and Ray their motivations are understandable, and it is sad how Vordin has manipulated those motivations. For Mary she wanted power to command respect and you can tell the adults are terrible. While for Ray his motivation was to fill the void of his fallen friend which turned to revenge when Klen arrived at the school.
Vordin’s point at the end can be illustrateed as a cause to fight for that is good. But again it’s sad how he manipulates that heroic intention for his own game. Are the souls of the students being extracted? We still have Milea’s side, so I’m curious how it goes from here.
