Violet Evergarden – Episode 11

War has been a common theme showcased in this series. This is the first where we see Violet writing for someone stuck in fighting and wanting to write to their families. Originally Claudia received a request from Aiden Field, and obviously Claudia not wanting to get any of the girls in danger makes sense. Of course, Violet really finding passion in being an Auto Memory Doll pushes her to take the assignment before it gets declined.

By the time she lands, she is too late to save Aiden from death. At the very least, she gets the contents of the letters he wants to send out to his parents and Maria. At the very least, Violet can offer a letter to them before Aiden passes away. It’s a sad reality, but they at least thank Violet for returning their son because otherwise they would have no way of knowing and not even get his words for one last time. Of course, as Violet grows emotionally, it hurts knowing that he was with her and to see the people he loved suffer. But of course that is the reality of war that Violet is realizing.
