Great chapter to show that Desscaras knows what needs to be done. She clearly loves her brother, and in many ways Ichi can be thought of as a replacement for him. There is no way he can be brought back, and Ichi can’t replace him. Granted, he gives her reason to keep pushing forward.
As an adult, Desscaras knows she needs to press forward, and she knows the one thing she can do is be the greatest witch because her reason for becoming a witch was for Libro.
