It is not a surprise Hikaru’s conviction is thick. After all, there is some concern that he would fall off the path, but more than likely, finding the ideal partner will push Hikaru to grow stronger. The real concern is their teacher, who might continue to push Teruaki to his limits to push Hikaru. At some point, who will be the one to protect Teruaki?
The next mission has Hikaru escorting both Chinatsu and Erina. Chinatsu is the bodyguard for Erina, who is the daughter. It appears that Erina’s father sought to protect his family, which caused him to betray the mafia in their eyes. It is fun to see Hikaru being good with kids, as Chinatsu’s personality is a lot like Himekawa. Though her being a protector is an inverse of a specialist. Though the fact she can handle some of his positions is a sign she would be a good match in terms of making the Gero family line stronger. There is more to a relationship than that, as it has been a point that this series has driven home.
The Windwheel users are the ones after Erina. What is more concerning is that the new head of the Beast Users clan is helping them take out Hikaru. Despite being enemies, we can see the head of the Windwheel clan clearly cares for the rest of his clan.
