A bit of dark comedy for Takauji being celebrated by Tokiyuki. Of course, he at the end is definitely holding appearances, and his actual feelings were shown last chapter. I do like that at this point Tokiyuki does flee and aims to go out like his father figure and older brother figure.
Fleeing to live was a theme in this series. But for him, fleeing would endanger those he loves. No surprise he finally decides to not flee.
