The race relay ends, and it highlights one strength of this series, and it is the friendship formed between the 5 friends. Hachimitsu & Yuu’s efforts weren’t in vain. Along with that, there were more alone moments between Shikimori and Yuu. Shikimori proving to be quite pure, but she is aiming to be kind like Yuu is definitely creating more comedic moments, like with Inuzuka.
There was a nice highlight on Yuu’s father where we see how similar he is to both Yuu & Shikimori. He is as kind as Yuu but as tough as Shikimori. Well, given his wife and son’s bad luck, that shouldn’t be too much of a surprise. It feels fitting he would have a boyfriend talk with Shikimori, and it works really well in execution. You can only imagine how he feels that his son has someone that will protect him since the point of this manga is the gender roles of the relationship are flipped.
Expanding on how Shikimori is cute on the outside but a tomboy on the inside. Kamiya on the outside. It is quite funny how flustered her brother is in public despite his looks. He is as thoughtful as Inuzuka but even has similar confidence issues as Yuu funny enough. Interactions between her brother and those two will be one interesting thing to look forward to.
