Moi has never been one who has been good with words. Him telling Nico he wishes he didn’t save her is an example of it. Though both of them know how much they mean to each other. Nico would make that sacrifice time and time again. For Moi he wants to protect Nico. It makes sense that protecting Nico gave Moi purpose as we see his character become more expressive as the series has continued.

This chapter handled the Moi Dad aspect as well as they could. Nico is taking a month off going back to adjust back to her old body because she doesn’t want Moi to only see her as a daughter or a kid. But this time holds meaning because Nico never really had a dad or a childhood, as she was isolated outside of being with Kan. While this time away from the conflict was basically Nico having a childhood. The confession is there because Nico knows conflict will be back when she gets back to her age.

Now with Nico gone for a month, it will be interesting how it is for the familars.
