Mio’s confrontation with her mom takes the classic parent vs child fight but takes it to the extreme levels this manga is known for. Basically the point serves about Mio fighting for the hobby she is passionate about while her mom is looknig out for her future.
This is well done because it proves that both sides are right. Mio found something she truly loves. Is it proper to take away the things from your children if they truly love it? At the same time while extreme Mio’s mom worries are valid. What does Mio plan to do in the future. This ends in the best way possible as Mio and her mom bonding about Mio’s time at Kuromi Girls’ Academy.
As the other girls in their discussion mention take Mio’s fondness in fighting games and take in hobbies they aren’t passionate about. Clearly their opinions differ. Though as Aya states sports aren’t looked as cruely as video games. Obvously it comes from the fact that usually sports are a less adicting hobby then video games. Still in theory many who play sports in high school won’t do it in their career. Again good job at showing that this dilemia isn’t black or white.
A natural progression for the group is to have their own club. A nice debate on what they name it because that could be improtant for perserving the club for future generations. Curious who the 2 additonal members will be. With that being said, Kawatare is being as meddlesome as ever, with her aunt being the advisor of the club and this aunt and niece pair having the same ideals for the school.
