So far, mages have been seen in a good light. So I think a mage being guilty of causing the incident would be an interesting change of pace. It shows why the Bureau is after them. Even if how they do things is corrupt.
An interesting aspect is that his wife was a mage, and he never knew. That would make her death and his motivation a bit sad because she hid it to protect him. But keeping it a secret could have caused his endless suffering.
For both Bellator & Raloud they both aim to find their families. Regardless if their family is already dead. But, man, you can tell Bellator is a tremendously kind man. Though Nona is going to figure out how to handle Gheer because we know he doesn’t care for Raloud one bit.
