This was a very interesting episode in terms of the directing. One answer we got was that Rudolf would agree to try to push for Oguri to enter the Japanese Derby. In all honesty, the chairman’s points are very valid because how firm is Oguri’s resolve? All big question marks. Also, we have seen Oguri has been someone who hasn’t really thought about what her goals are beyond being able to run until most recently. Of course Rudolf looks at it from the position of the Twinkle Series, and having Oguri in there would be a big boost. What this episode does well is not give you an answer to Rudolf’s plea.
We jump to the Japanese Derby, where we see a bunch of big names. We also see Oguri, and we think she is competing as well. As the race continues, we see Oguri coming from behind to win, and we think she won. Though in an interesting direction, we are seeing it from Rudolf’s mind. After being given the answer no by the chairman. It seems more than likely the G2 race that Oguri raced in stayed in Rudolf’s mind when she imagined that Oguri won the Japanese Derby. This shows the respect that she has for Oguri.
Though in good news, the chairman mentioned she would do what was needed. As Oguri is a special case, checks and balances need to be approved. Still, the fact that someone like Oguri is capable of the chairman trying to make such a change in the future is a showcase of the impact Oguri is bringing.
