The Ghost in the Shell – Episode 10

The conversation between Motoko and the Puppet Master is very much similar to what we had in the movie. It is interesting how the movie made sure to cover the epilogue here. The main question that is asked is how do you ensure information is secure?

Motoko’s suggestion makes sense copies create more instances if some of them die out. Being multifunctional allows them to do something if an error occurs.

Of course it is a complicated question because information is massive. The tree example works well. It starts at the root, but it grows more and more. Humans are like this. People leave their mark on society. Of course death is a natural part of life. We learn from those who come to become us. We adapt. Which more in lies with Motoko’s 2nd solution.

The curious part as it relates to humans is what if humans didn’t die like information in a network? Well humans aren’t copies of each other we each have our own individuality. So it more implies copying is not the solution.

It’s amusing how the Puppet Master desires to replicate humanity. The Puppet Master seems to lack the ability to evolve and why they desire Motoko. It is curious what the result of this fusion will be.
