As Athy visits Ijekiel again, the focus is more so on Jenette. As her mother was Duke Alpheus’s cousin and Claude’s former fiancée. The real question that gets asked is, should Athy hate her? After all, in the original timeline she won her father’s heart. At the same time, they both suffered a similar circumstance, and she is just a kid like her.
To add more to the table, Lucas mentions that Jenette is a Chimera. Essentially she was altered by black magic. Was this something that happened in the original timeline? Is this the work of Duke Alpheus, given that he raised her? So much uncertainty leads Athy to run to her father for comfort as the thought of him abandoning her still sinks deep in her heart.
