As this episode starts, one of the main talking points from Felix is that Athy is only around adults. Of course, as she grows older, it would be more natural for kids to be around other kids. Though it is fair for Athy to be on guard since she knows her fate. Duke Alpheus, of course, is one where it is clear to be cautious of. Although he raised Jenette, it raises the question of when Athy says Jenette was Claude’s other daughter. It could be that Duke Alpheus raised her for Claude, or was the daughter connection misleading information for Athy? Curious to get clarification.
The wizard that Athy meets is quite odd. Though the feeling is that he is immortal, maybe? Given that he remembers the old emperors but dismisses Claude. Though what he means is that chanting that spell is dangerous. We see Athy cough up blood after protecting herself from him. Why is that? Is that why she has difficulty with magic? Also, we see him in a younger form, which might allude to the fact that he isn’t human.
