As Fubuki points out, one of the early foundations of the series was flee to live. It is understandable that Tokiyuki wants to finish off Takauji; it is not smart to do so at the cost of his own life. Defeating the evil god is an accomplishment in its own right. Of course it will be interesting how the rest of the manga plays out, as history doesn’t present itself as nicely as stories in manga do.


Kojirou going after Takauji after expressing his feelings to Shina does leave concern. Still, him and Nagao teaming up is interesting as villains coming together, though their plan doesn’t seem to go smoothly.
