This was an interesting chapter. Where it more so focuses on the context of history and how people live through it. There is a lack of empathy unless you understand the people’s circumstances. There are people who thought Tokiyuki should never have rebelled against Takauji. In the context of history, everything is either black or white. We praise them or demonize them. It’s because of all that we repeat the same mistakes again and again. We repeat history many times simply because we never learn when the answer is right in front of us.
