Tamon’s B-Side – Volume 2

This volume introduced Tamon’s bandmate Ori. Interestingly enough, personality-wise how he differs from Tamon is interesting. Tamon is very introverted and has self-confidence issues. Meanwhile, Ori has a terrible personality. Of course, Tamon being the “FACE” of their group clearly would have agitated. Granted, it is easy to get sick of Ori because of how awful his personality is. Still, Ori is what you think of regarding idols who truly have an ugly personality but hide it on stage.

Still, this chaotic series manages to avoid the common love triangle trope twice. It would be out of character for Uta to suddenly be interested in Ori too. Of course it is funny that her not caring about Ori has him so triggered. Also in the festival, Ori complimenting Uta served as the motivation for Tamon to compliment Uta which was nice.

Tamon purely loves his fans, as this was shown during their festival date. Of course it is clear Uta is special to Tamon, but of course her being an obsessive fan of Tamon makes this more complicated. Also, we’ve got the competition still in the cards. Maybe Tamon got the final push he needed to give a winning performance.
