This volume was more of a nice focus on Kamiya & Nekozaki. For Nekozaki her case of being alone is similar to Inuzuka, since as she moved in life, she ended up walking the path alone. It hurts more for her because Inuzuka at least had a goal to shoot for. She just wanted to be friends and stick with them. At least now she is part of a group that is together until the end. Her luck might not be as bad as Yuu, but even that can seem like an uphill battle.
Kamiya has come a long way. Her life always seemed perfect and ideal, but she at her core is an ordinary girl. She is idealized and praised, but it’s a reminder that if things come so easily, it is easy to lose the hunger. Being more connected to her classmates has been huge for her because you could simply wish for the happiness of her friends. It’s a simple but perfect goal for Kamiya.
