We get introduced to a mutation. Unlike specialists, which is something they clearly align with, a mutation is more of an anomaly. Though them being able to surpass a specialist is interesting. Though Pichi is more so a good guy, it makes sense he would try to take out Gero when provided the opportunity. Arashiyama, who is quite defenseless in her own willingness to stand up for Gero is what wins him over. It is clear that Pichi is a good guy, and he needed to see that in Gero.

The bad news is that now Arashiyama is held hostage by the head of the Beast Clan. Though his aim is creating Crimson Marriages, where the powers of specialists are combined. Like we see with the spear and bird user. It will be interesting to see what combinations he aims for. Though as Arashiyama sees that there are a ton of people imprisoned, it is clear why Pichi is going after many of these clans.

Though the man known as King mocks Gero for potentially wanting to marry Arashiyama. It makes sense because Gero and Arashiyama’s skill sets couldn’t be more different. A hamster mixed with the poison clan wouldn’t mesh well, but Gero is looking for a partner first. That is where the difference lies. Arashiyama’s skill set, much like hamsters, comes from their numbers, and surveillance is where she can make the most use of her. It’s good for Gero to allow her to feel useful because if he marries her, she would want to carry the weight in a marriage.

Gero is in a rough spot, but we see the water user has their back. Their teamwork will be interesting.
