Of course, Asirpa getting away from Tsurumi isn’t going the way he wanted. Though it is not a surprise he is using Inkarmat as leverage to try to get Tanigaki to go after Asirpa for him. He knows about the promise that he made to Huci. Still at this point Tanigaki’s hands are tied, but you know he won’t go after Asirpa. Of course he can’t go against Tsurumi here. You have to feel bad for Tanigaki.

We dive into Usami’s backstory, and well, it wouldn’t be one if Tsurumi wasn’t in the center of things. At the very least, unlike with Koito & Hajime, Tsurumi doesn’t seem as manipulative. Though it is clear that Usami is so batshit crazy that it didn’t take too much. Though the real focus Tsurumi mentions is the power of love, and it is very true. Tsurumi is truly a massive manipulator with a ton of charisma.
- For Ogata, the lack of love from his family, which Tsurumi played with to motivate him to kill his father to get things rolling.
- For Hajime, it was for saving someone who didn’t love his life. The fact that he resents himself for fulfilling Tsurumi’s ideals happens due to this.
- For Koito he ends up admiring Tsurumi as an idol. He is the one who shaped his life, and there is no doubt that is where his loyalty is.
- Usami is much more eccentric than Koito. It is unstable and feels more like pure love than anything else.

This episode covered chapters 222-227. The ending point of 227 was the last few pages, but they might not adapt that. This is probably the first instance since S2 where a portion of content was skimmed. Granted, the anime has a good amount to cover. Nothing bad was skipped since there is repeated information, but things happen much faster than in the manga.
