Before Kiroranke leads the group, he tells the story of how the 3 of them met with a man named Hasegawa. Wilk was the clear leader in terms of taking action, and his level of intelligence was impressive. Despite Sofia being the Russian revolutionary of the group, she didn’t have the drive the guys had. Last was Kiroranke, who was the little brother of the group.

Interestingly enough, the reason the Secret Police came to the home was for Hasegawa. Who was a Japanese Spy. When Hasegawa mentions the 3 great nobles when taking the trio’s picture, that was the hint that he knew something was up with them. Sadly, as the 4 of them defend themselves from the Secret Police. Though Sofia accidentally killed Hasegawa’s wife & daughter. It is clear that it played a major role in her not coming with Wilk & Kiroranke. Now Kiroranke returns after making the call to kill Wilk.

The most shocking reveal was that Hasegawa was actually Tsurumi in disguise. We have seen his work manipulating associates in the 7th Division, but this just makes you wonder how far his influence has reached and touched?

It’s not too much of a surprise that the beginning of volume 18 was skipped because it is better to focus on Sugimoto, Kiroranke & Asirpa plotline for the rest of S3. This episode adapted chapters 177-179 as well as the last pages of chapter 176. Really well done here.
