It is great to see Sugimoto & Shiraishi reunited. Still, for Sugimoto it means nothing if he can’t get to Asirpa. Ogata, being a sneaky bastard, notices that Asirpa realizes something. As Koito mentioned before, Ogata is willing to change allegiance at a moment’s notice. To think that he almost had Asirpa fooled. Of course the thing with lies is that eventually they catch up to you.

Though much like his half-brother, Asirpa doesn’t want to kill. Much like it didn’t make sense to kill his half-brother, he probably would kill Asirpa and screw everyone over regarding the gold. In fact, he wants to force Asirpa to kill him, and funny enough, Sugimoto startling Asirpa has that happen. Of course Sugimoto doesn’t want blood on Asirpa’s hands.

Despite Kiroranke not knowing Ogata betrayed him, he holds off Tanigaki & Tsukishima well. But he still has Koito to deal with. Looks like it will be an intense finish here.

This chapter covered a lot of ground, adapting chapters 184-189. The parts of 184 that weren’t adapted and just the last few pages of 189 were left for the finale. This season had a big boost in direction from the first two seasons, as each conclusion of the episode made you want to watch the next one.
