This is the first episode for this show, which didn’t have any action. It was mostly an exposition dump, though it was a bunch of theories and people citing their sources. Which you have to take with a grain of salt. Though if we were to assume that the 39 Assassins were done of their free will, it is something that would add up to there being no original for the “Laughing Man.” Interestingly enough, it could be possible that Nanao is one of the simulations himself. Though it does seem clear the Metropolitan Police benefiting would align with the Chiefs’s assumption that they are likely behind this.
