As the countdown is rolling after the nuclear bomb gets deployed, it seems the plan for Kuze is to upload up to 3 million of the refugees. There are many questions of whether the plan is viable and if the refugees would even maintain their ghosts. What is most interesting is what the Tachikomas do next. They essentially sacrifice themselves to save Major, Kuze, Batou and the refugees.

The most remarkable part of this is that it proves that the Tachikomas have their own ghosts. While it isn’t the same way as Major and Batou, at the same time, as a collective group, they are their own ghost. For them to make the sacrifice that they did really shows their heart.

In a spin of good, Section 9 arrests the Chief Cabinet Secretary as well as killing Gohda. Well, killing Gohda seems excessive, but it is the type of move they had to do. Though the concern is we see Kuze being killed off. It seems there are more waiting in the wings than just those two. Still, despite that, it is a notable victory for Section 9 that finishes off this 2nd season.
