This episode was mostly self-contained when Togusa was off duty trying to help the nurse. The case felt rather uncomfortable because the opposing lawyer, then trying to prove the murderer is innocent, was more so attacking Togusa. It seems clear that he has a connection to Gohda, so I’m curious if this incident with the defective cyborg parts becomes more relevant later on. I’m curious how Togusa handles it because he is the one main cast member who believes in fighting for justice, and the court not caring about that is sad. As most of the trial had nothing to do with the innocent woman who was murdered.
