Before Caiman got to work to rescue Nikaidou, we had a food competition between Tanaba & Asuka. It’s quite interesting to showcase her magic while Nikaidou is under the influence of the devil contract. Once again we can see how influence works in the world, and even her magic had En under her spell. More than likely, males are more easily influenced. Cheap tricks are still cheap tricks.
Caiman can find Nikaidou, and we can see for real that she is not herself. In many ways her judgment is more about acting in the best interest of En than what she wants. Even though Caiman didn’t want to hurt her, she lunged to continue attacking her. More interesting is the mystery regarding Caiman because we now know Risu is inside him, and it is he who nearly kills Nikaidou, which allows her devil friend Asu to temporarily remove the contract. It is still fucked up that being near En brings the contract’s effects back. As he even treats her like a pet, like Judas’s ear.
Though Chota’s infatuation with En is being used for Nikaidou’s benefit. He basically needs to act like Nikadidou, and all is good. Though the real question is, will En realize something is up? Of course Fujita hating Nikaidou as much as he does, will probably be the first one to realize that something is up.
The real question with Caiman is, did Risu curse him? Is Risu also the one that En was set out to kill? Also, Caiman’s memories were messed up when he woke up, but at least things got back on track. So Nikaidou stopped using magic since it involved the death of a friend.
There are two things that this spells out. First, humans and sorcerers are not the same thing. They might as well be different races. Sorcerers are stated to be superior to humans in many ways, but Nikaidou wanted to be human despite having one of the most sought-after magic. Caiman more than likely belonged to the cross-eyed gang, so at least he has a relation to Risu. We then see Risu meet up with what he calls the boss’s inner gang. More than likely it should mean Risu is not the one that En is after because one would assume that he is after the head. More than likely that could hold some answers regarding both Caiman and Risu.
It is interesting that Caiman and Niakidou, as well as Shin’s parents, aren’t the only human sorcerer pair. The professor has a sorcerer wife who he says is married to him, but they are separated. Them trying to contract with her, it seems that more than likely she got killed by the cross-eyed gang. Is this gang a bunch of hybrids by chance?
We do see Noi wanting to be there for Shin’s friends. Though both she and Shin get handled easily. Which is a surprise. The action is cut, so it is hard to say what actually happened. Though they didn’t finish off Shin, we can see he is about to go off on them.
