Oobashi using Bunrei is interesting. Though that still shouldn’t take away from what Yayoi did last chapter, as that is what tipped the scales in him voting for Yayoi. While Yayoi might not act her age a lot throughout the series, the way she does is mostly aligned to her goal. She wants to protect her friends and family. Her main goal is to save her mom, but she will more than likely pass on after that goal is completed.

I wished there was at least an attempt at an argument against Yayoi. Granted, I am not sure that there is much outside of she is dangerous since she beat Taisai. Which, admittedly, is a weak argument. One thing I do like is Oobashi’s confidence in himself because opting to kill Yayoi would also imply not having confidence in himself.

Still, even with Oobashi outsmarting Yayoi at the beginning of the chapter, Yayoi still showing off that she is quite the force. Yayoi has constantly been the one in the lead, and it will be interesting that Yayoi will be the pupil. How Oobashi uses Bunrei could be something very useful for Yayoi to learn.
