When the dialogue says that both Angvall and Arkos were war heroes, it is funny. Of course, for Angvall that all checks out. Though Arkos was 10, and one could say power and fame can corrupt oneself. It wouldn’t be surprising if that was the case for Arkos.
It is actually astonishing the power Arkos holds, as him taking over for Atlus was teased. Still, it raises many flags if it was a villain who was defeated and it was thought there was a separation of Arkos and Atlus. Also add that the current king struggled against these witches. There can be a good number of writing inconsistencies with this twist in this chapter. The only thing this chapter adds is it really measures the threat of Arkos, but it feels like the proportions with the current arc feel excessively much unless there is a catch.
